The two day SAKCON (Student Annual Knowledge Sharing Conference) 2025, hosted by Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration, Hyderabad, a 32 year old healthcare management institution under Apollo Hospitals Education & Research Foundation, in collaboration with the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO), at AIMSR Auditorium & Bhavanam Venkataram Auditorium, Dr BRAOU university. 

The conference brought together leaders and experts from across the healthcare, sustainability, and academic sectors to explore the theme “Sustainability & Green Healthcare.” The official Souvenir of SAKCON 2025, was released on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Vijay Agarwal, President, Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO), said, SAKCON is an annual conference conducted for the Hospital Administration students, in different parts of India, the first conference was held in Bangalore, this is the fourth edition being hosted at Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration at Hyderabad. 

The Conference is growing by leaps and bounds, with more and more institutions becoming a part of this, 45 institutions are participating in this edition, here. Prof. Vijaya Rudra Raju, Principal and Chairman, Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration said, this edition of SAKCON being hosted by the Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration at Hyderabad, is being attended by over 500 delegates and over 100 Abstracts are submitted by participants from all over India. 

We have over 10 top healthcare professionals sharing their insights as faculty. The conference will be inaugurated on 20th September, 2025, by Prof. Ganta Chakrapani, Vice Chancellor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (Dr BRAOU), along with Dr. L.V.K. Reddy, Registrar, Dr BRAOU, as the Guest of Honour.

Renowned sustainability advocate Dr. Karan Thakur, Head of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability at Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, will deliver the Keynote Address.

The conference highlights include Three Pre-Conference Workshops will be held on 19th September at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad; Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad and Aster Prime Hospitals, Hyderabad.

The main conference will feature three high-impact panel discussions bringing together Healthcare Icons, Scientists, Sustainability Specialists among others. Over 500 delegates from across India have registered to participate in this landmark event.

Distinguished Speakers Include Dr. Hariprasad Kovelamudi, Chairman, Quality Care India Ltd.; Sri Subramanyam Yadavalli, CEO, AP & International; Dr. Veerabrahmam, Scientist; Prof. Raman Saxena, IIT(K) & IIIT Hyderabad; Sri Harkaran Singh, COO, Apollo Hospitals; Dr. Sujoy Kar, CMIO & VP , Apollo Hospitals; Ms. Keerthi D’Souza, Sustainability Auditor; Mr. Sanjeev Shiva, Environmental Conservationist; Mr. Devashish Choudhary, Marketing Head, Quidel Ortho and Mr. Viswanath Attaluri, Chief Commercial Officer, Greenco Group.

The Conference received more than 200 research submissions from healthcare students and faculty. The short listed publications shall be presented during the conference and Cash Prizes will be given to winners and runners up during the valedictory ceremony. Prof I. Anand Pawar, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Business Management, Dr BRAOU is the chief guest at the valedictory function and Dr Ramesh Martha, liaison officer of NIMS and Govt of Telangana is a Special Invitee.

The Conference Chair is Prof. Vijaya Rudraraju, Principal, Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration. SAKCON 2025 promises to be a pivotal event for driving conversations and action towards a greener, more sustainable healthcare future.
