University Grant Commission has granted its approval to the Distance Education Program run by learning Center Association of Punjab Technical University. It is worth mentioning that distance education program of PTU, which was stayed by High Court in 2013 due to absence of this approval, is expected to start admission process soon.Thanking HRD Minister Smt Samriti Irani for expediting long pending approval, Punjab Technical Education Minister Madan Mohan Mittal today said that this approval was long pending since 2013 and with the sincere efforts of, Minister HRD this approval has been realized the dreams off thousands of students, who want to study in Govt and Technical University at affordable cost. He further added that future of more than 5000 staff members working at 200 learning centers also got safeguarded with this approval.Members of PTU LC Association today reached the residence of Mittal for expressing their thanks. They said that this approval was the result of undying efforts of Mittal.
