Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik chaired a meeting of the District Level Single Window Committee (DLSWC) today at the DC Office Complex to review the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for proposed mineral mining blocks and the renewal of environmental clearances for blocks nearing expiration.

The meeting involved in-depth discussions on various aspects, including title verification, site plans and the issuance of NOCs for newly identified mineral blocks. A key focus was placed on strengthening control and regulatory mechanisms to ensure strict compliance with mining regulations.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the case-wise status of NOC applications submitted by departments such as Revenue, Forest, PDD, Fisheries, and others under the Single Window Clearance System. She also assessed the clearance processes of various stakeholder departments and the progress of joint inspections conducted.

The DC directed the officers to submit factual, site-specific reports following field visits and to ensure that mineral leasing does not negatively impact the environment. She emphasized strict adherence to the guidelines set by the Geology and Mining Department while issuing NOCs.

The Deputy Commissioner also urged officers to maintain a vigilant and proactive stance in identifying illegal mineral extraction activities. She called for strict action against violators and instructed departments to submit detailed action-taken reports accordingly.

The meeting was attended by ADC Rakesh Kumar; ACR Nitin Verma; DFO Reasi; CAO; CHO; Tehsildar; DMO; Executive Engineers, and other concerned officers.
