In a proactive move to foster the Public Distribution System (PDS), Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal today convened a district-level committee meeting to verify beneficiaries enrolled in the PDS database.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of accuracy in the beneficiary list and instructed the formation of a sub-committee tasked with verifying enrolled beneficiaries.
This sub-committee will also identify and include any eligible beneficiaries who may have been overlooked. Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Additional Director of Food to expedite the e-KYC process at the Union Territory level for all pending beneficiaries under the PDS.
He stressed the need for timely distribution of ration to the public, ensuring that essential supplies reach those in need without delay. The Poonch administration remains committed to improving the efficiency and transparency of the PDS, underscoring its dedication to supporting the community's welfare.
