The District Administration Budgam today conducted a weekly Block Diwas program at Panchayat Halqa Sandipora in Block Budgam.The programme was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Budgam, Dr. Akramullah Tak where local PRIs, respected elders and local youth delegations from village Sandipora, Patvow, Gazurgund and other adjacent villages raised their demands.
The ADDC gave them patient hearing and assured all their genuine demands shall be taken up with relevant quarters for their redressal on priority. At the outset, the ADDC directed Tehsildar Budgam for identification of a suitable land patch for the development of a playfield for local youth.
He said that works related to improvement in LT lines and development of concrete pathways to all habitation be prioritized to ensure better facilities to locals. The ADDC stressed on speedy completion of all ongoing development projects in the Panchayat halqa.
He said that these programmes are important to take first-hand feedback from the general public and address their issues at their doorsteps.Urging locals to participate in Gram Sabhas, the ADDC said that local participation in plan formation and implementation of schemes is imperative also for the overall development of all panchayat halqas.
In order to maintain cleanliness and sanitation, the ADDC appealed to locals to avoid dumping of waste material in open areas instead ensure segregation and proper disposal of daily generated garbage in the Panchayat halqa.
Meanwhile, other districts officers present on the occasion redressed the genuine concerns on spot and assured full support from their side.Besides, CMO Budgam Mohammad Ayoub, Executive Engineer I&FC, other District and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
