International Yoga Day, Yoga Day was celebrated in government schools of district Mohali today. Giving information, the District Education Officer Secondary Dr. Ginni Duggal said that under the guidelines received by the Government of India and the School Education Department of the Punjab Government, special yoga sessions were conducted today in all government middle, high and senior secondary schools of the district .

She led a yoga camp at Government Girls Senior Secondary School Sohana, in which Deputy District Education Officer Secondary Angrez Singh, District Sports Coordinator Indu Bala and School Head Principal Himanshu Latava, all staff and students participated. She said that a large number of students and some parents also participated in the yoga camp in the schools of the district. 

On this occasion, while addressing the audience, she said that by doing yoga, we not only become physically healthy but also mentally strong. With the practice of yoga, the mind remains stable and the mind gets peace, due to which the internal diseases of the body are also eliminated. 

Yoga practice has proven to be beneficial for people of all ages, children, youth and the elderly. She said that we all should take some time out of our busy lives and do yoga activities every day.
