On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a special yoga event was organized today at Shaheed Udham Singh Government College under the supervision of Manpreet Bansal, where Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora attended as the chief guest. A large number of students, teachers, administrative officials, and city residents participated in the event, expressing their awareness of and interest in yoga.
During the event, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora participated in the yoga session and addressed the gathering. He said that yoga is one of the most effective ways to keep the body, mind, and soul healthy.
In today’s stressful lifestyle, yoga not only helps protect people from diseases but also brings balance to their thoughts and way of life. He emphasized that everyone should make yoga an inseparable part of their daily routine so that they can lead healthy and happy lives.
He especially appealed to parents to encourage their children to accompany them for yoga and other sports activities at playgrounds, inspiring them to adopt a healthy lifestyle. He added that such habits can help the younger generation stay away from social evils like drug abuse.
The Cabinet Minister further stated that the Punjab Government is continuously making efforts to promote sports and healthy living. He said that the infrastructure for sports and yoga in the state is being further strengthened so that the youth can channel their energy in the right direction.
On this occasion, the organizers also accorded a special honour to Cabinet Minister Aman Arora. Appreciating his efforts towards public welfare and social development, they presented him with a memento. During the event, yoga experts demonstrated various yoga postures and provided detailed information to the attendees about the benefits and significance of yoga.
