DE & CC Kathua organises Job Fair; companies selects 24 candidates on spot

A job fair was organised by Directorate of Employment J&K through District Employment and counselling centre Kathua in which more than 150 candidates participated and registered themselves as jobseekers for jobs in the private sector.

Four companies from private sector offering 27 jobs participated in the Job Fair wherein a total of 24 candidates were selected on spot and another 11 candidates were shortlisted for suitable job profile.

Pertinently, during the job fair, Companies like Aegios Ltd, Airtel, Mehra polymers ltd and LIC India offered jobs like Sales Executive, Fitter, Financial Advisor, Graduate Trainee Engineers IT engineer.

The youth were also provided information of the government sponsored self employment schemes like Tejeswini, Mumkin, Spurring entrepreneurship and motivated to become self employed and job creators themselves.

The event is aimed to bridge the gap between job seekers and leading organizations, fostering a platform for employment opportunities in the region. Assistant Director Employment Naresh kumar also informed the unemployed youths of the district that the department of employment is also going to start training related to various skill courses as per demand in the market.
