With an aim to take first hand appraisal regarding implementation of PMAY (G) scheme, Secretary in Rural Development Department, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, today paid a day long visit to Bandipora district where he inspected PMAY(G) verification camps being conducted in Arin, Boonkote and Aloosa blocks.

Secretary, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development Bandipora Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, ACP Bandipora and BDO Arin, inspected PMAY (G) verification camp at Panchayat CA khan, block Arin and took a detailed stock of different parameters associated with the scheme.

During inspection, Secretary issued specific directions pertaining to inclusion of all eligible beneficiaries figuring in Permanent Wait List (PWL) after following due process and procedures. He emphasized to achieve saturation under the said scheme. He stressed upon the concerned authorities to adopt participatory approach by taking all stakeholders on board.

Tariq Zargar reiterated the commitment of Center government towards providing houses to all houseless saying that the scheme shall be implemented in a transparent and accountable manner.Secretary also inspected the verification camp in Block Bonkoot, Panchayat Athwato, where he took comprehensive review of ongoing PMAY-G registration process.

Later, Tariq Ahmad Zargar inspected Amrit Sarovar sites at panchayat Guzarbal.Lastly, Secretary paid a visit at ongoing PMAY-G verification camp at panchayat Kehnusa, block Aloosa. He exhorted upon the concerned authorities to complete verification and registration process of eligible genuine beneficiaries in time.
