Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla presided over a special program organized at Raj Bhavan today on the occasion of Telangana State Foundation Day. People of Telangana living in Himachal Pradesh attended the program and discussed about the rich culture and traditions of the state.
Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court, Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao was also present as a special invitee as he belongs to the state of Telangana. Shri Shukla also honoured him on the occasion.
The Governor said that Telangana was formed on 2 June, 2014. Telangana has centuries old rich heritage with a unique blend of culture, language, art and literature, he added.
People belonging to the state were rendering their services in every corner of the country, which reflects the spirit of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat', the governor stated, adding that such programs would be helpful in promoting mutual understanding between people and strengthening relations.
Secretary to the Governor, Rajesh Sharma welcomed the guests on the occasion.
