'Science Brainiacs’, a science fest was jointly organised by Institute of Translational Health Science (ITHS) and Department of Life Sciences of Rayat Bahra University. Various competitions were organised including Startups Display, Projects Display, Collage Making and Poster making Photography, Science Model, and Healthy Food Competition.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh shared his views about Science Brainiacs with the participants and presided over the prize distribution ceremony. Dr Simerjit Kaur, Dean, Students Welfare, welcomed the dignitaries and participants and encouraged the participants to showcase their skills.

Jyoti Garhewal, Founder and Director, ITHS, stated that the purpose of organising Science Brainiacs was to provide a platform to the students to engage themselves into various activities that enhance their skills and abilities.

Dr Kumar Abhiram Jha, Chief Scientist, GIOSTAR, USA, Professor AK Sinha, Department of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, and Dr Indu Sharma, Department of Zoology, Panjab University, were jury members. Dr Neena Mehta, Dr Manoj Bali, Dr Sonia Vatta also judged the competitions.

Dr Pulakes Purkait, Director of ITHS, highlighted the significance of the Science Brainiacs, and proposed a vote of thanks. The event was coordinated by Vanshika Tyagi Gupta, Assistant Professor in the Institute of Translational Health Science.

Winners of various competitions were honoured with trophies and certificates in different competitions.  In Science model competition first prize won by Madhav Ahuja, second prize won by Rudraksha Monga and Priya Thakur, third prize was won by Maleeha.

In photography competition first prize was won by Arshpreet Kaur, second prize by Anmol Chaudhary and the third prize was bagged by Mohammad Yousuf Dar. In poster making the first prize was won by Amarjot Kaur, second prize by Gurpreet Kaur and the third prize was won by Megha Verma.

In Collage Making Chesta won the first prize, Nidhi won the second prize, and Afshan won the third prize. In the Healthy dish competition Shreya Jain won first prize, Tammana Kapoor won second prize and Ramica and Gauri jointly bagged the third prize.
