The candidate of The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for Jalandhar by-poll, Sushil Kumar Rinku filed his nomination on Monday accompanied by AAP Punjab President CM Bhagwant Mann and Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema.
Before filing of nomination CM Bhagwant Mann held a roadshow in support of AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku where thousands of AAP party workers and supporters gathered and raised slogans in favour of party candidate. In this roadshow along with CM Mann and candidate Rinku,
MLA Sheetal Angural, MLA Balkar Singh, Dinesh Dhall, Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Jit Ram Bhatti, Rattan singh, Prem Kumar, MLA Inderjit Kaur, Jagbir Brar, Mohinder Bhagat, Surinder Sodhi and Harchand Singh Barsat were also present.
Addressing the gathering there AAP Punjab President CM Bhagwant Mann appealed to the people to not vote for traditional parties and to elect a pro-people voice. He said that Congress's internal turmoil is an obstacle in the path of development.
The Aam Aadmi Party brings the honest leaders forward. Because we know how to do development, how to build schools, hospitals and mohalla clinics, how to free electricity and how to give employment.
Mann said that the AAP won Municipal corporation elections in Delhi and made its Mayor now the garbage mountains are being cleared, because the Aam Aadmi Party knows how to get work done.
He added that Punjab has the AAP government, Jalandhar councillors are extending their support to AAP and when people elected Sushil Rinku as their MP, more and more development works will be done in the city.
Mann said that Jalandhar falls under a smart city scheme but no development is done here because traditional political parties and their leaders lack intention.Mann added that his government has started distributing crop loss compensation money to farmers within the 20 days of announcement.
He said, when I announced the compensation the opposition said it was not possible to deliver within 20 days, when we did they didn't believe, we showed them cheques and money now they are saying that it hasn't reached everyone.
Mann asked them to have patience the money will reach all the farmers who are facing financial losses due to untimely rain. He added, we're like you and with you. We will keep taking pro-people decisions everyday and 3-4 more big things are on the way.
Mann said the people of Jalandhar will create history and it will be written that when a revolution, that spread in the whole country, started in Punjab in 2022, Jalandhar was one of the beginning points.
AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku thanked the party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann for entrusting him with this responsibility. He thanked the whole leadership of party, present ministers and MLAs. He also thanked the people of Jalandhar who gathered in a large number to express their support to Rinku.
AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal to campaign for Sushil Rinku in Jalandhar on April 20th
During his address to the people of Jalandhar, CM Bhagwant Mann informed the workers and supporters that the Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will reach Jalandhar on April 20th to do campaign in favour of Sushil Kumar Rinku.
He urged people to show the same support and enthusiasm in the elections and appealed to them to make Sushil Kumar Rinku victorious with a huge margin.
