Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday lashed out at the BJP-led Centre government for rejecting Punjab's tableau for the Republic Day parade and termed it a very unfortunate and unjustified act by the government.

Addressing a press conference here at party’s headquarter, party’s state Chief Spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang expressed deep anguished and said that AAP party and Punjab government highly condemned this move of BJP for excluding state’s tableau for the Republic Day parade, which showcases its culture, tradition, and contribution to the freedom struggle.

“Punjabis have made most of the sacrifices to protect the country’s borders and freedom but it is extremely shocking and sad that the Centre government deliberately ignored Punjab’s contribution. BJP is playing pity politics. We strongly condemn this,” said Kang.

He said that by rejecting Punjab’s tableau, it has exposed the anti-Punjab stand of BJP once again. The Central government has always worked against the interest of Punjab and its people. Kang said that the people of Punjab will soon teach a lesson to BJP.
