In consonance with the commitment of the state government led by Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann to impart quality education to the students, the district administration Fazilka has launched a path breaking initiative ‘Learn and grow’ to give wings to dreams of the students.

'Learn and Grow' project is a brainchild of Deputy Commissioner Fazilka Dr Senu Duggal, who launched this project in the border village of Mohammed Peeran. Giving the details she said that under the program eminent officers and dignitaries from various walks of life will visit the schools and interact with the students. 

Dr. Senu Duggal said that it will help in giving a holistic view to the students about the future challenges.At the very outset, the Deputy Commissioner, while donning a cap of a teacher, interacted with the students and told them about the basics of being an ideal and responsible citizen.  

She apprised the students about the importance of duties along with the rights to excel in life. Dr. Senu Duggal had detailed interaction with the students during this session.The Deputy Commissioner envisioned that this scheme will be very helpful in overall grooming and personality development of the students. 

She said that this will also help the administration to have direct access to the students and their needs in government schools. Dr. Senu Duggal said that the top brass of the district administration will be visiting the schools for interaction and based on their feedback and report regarding the infrastructure and other facilities, the district administration will pump in the resources for the well being of students.

The Deputy Commissioner said that this will have twin benefits as on one hand it will help in ensuring comprehensive development of the students and on the other hand it will provide a factual ground report to the administration. 

She said that it will help in giving much needed direction to the students of 10+1 and 10+2 in choosing their career. Dr. Senu Duggal said that this initiative will go a long way in channelizing the unbounded energy of youth in a positive direction for the progress of the state and prosperity of its people.

On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur, deputy district education officer Pankaj Angi principal Samriti Kataria, Amit Setia, DTC Manish Thukral were also present
