Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav today listened to the grievances of people here at Village Sewa of Panchayat Inderwal A, Block Inderwal during the block diwas programme.SDM Chhatroo, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; ACP,  Zakir Hussain Wani;  DPO, Sunil Bhutyal; DSWO, Zubair Ahmed; CAHO, Dr Sanjay Sen; District Nodal Officer AYUSH, Dr Vikram Gupta; Tehsildar Chatroo, Suman ji Sharma; BDO Chhatroo, Tasleem Wani, locals and PRIs of adjoining Panchayats  besides District, Sectoral and Block level officers were present on the occasion.

A group of students of GDC Kishtwar, assigned the work of  data collection of infrastructure needs in the panchayat during Back to Village phase- IV as Mini Internship rolled out for the College students, also attended the block diwas programme.

During the programme, the locals and PRIs of and adjoining areas highlighted their demands. They demanded  up-gradation of road connectivity, provision of adequate Power and water supply, besides provisions to meet the  infrastructure deficit in health, Education and Jal Shakti sectors in their respective Panchayats.

The DC listened to their grievances patiently and assured that their genuine demands and grievances will be redressed in a time bound manner.The DC passed directions to the concerned officers and many grievances were also resolved on spot with the intervention of concerned District/Block level functionaries.

Meanwhile, a number of issues pertaining to  infrastructure gaps recorded by the Visiting Students during the recent Back to Village phase fourth programme, were also discussed and read out before the people.

The DC assured timely intervention to resolve the issues to mitigate  the sufferings of the local people.Meanwhile, the Animal Husbandry Department   distributed poultry chicks among the farmers in presence of Deputy Commissioner and other District officers.

The DC also distributed Land Passbooks among legal landowners of the Panchayat under Apki Zameen Apki Nigrani and also handed over the prosthetic aids to beneficiaries provided by the District Social Welfare Department.

Distribution of golden cards and plantation drive was also conducted during the programme in presence of DC Kishtwar.Later, the DC inspected the Government Middle School Sewa and took stock of its functioning and infrastructure gaps. 

He also presented gifts to the students.The Deputy Commissioner along with BDO Chatroo and other District officers also inspected the RDD works,  including houses sanctioned under  Awas Plus, Soak Pits, IHHL unit and Capex works. 

The DC also interacted with Awas Plus beneficiaries.En-route, the DC inspected Anganwadi Centre Sewa, PHC Chatroo. He directed the concerned officers to ensure the completion of electrification work of the Health centre immediately for the safety and ease of patients.
