As part of the Jan Abhiyan programme, a One day Kissan Mela/Farmers’ Awareness camp was today organised by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare at Panchayat Logate.The camp was organized under the overall supervision of the Chief Agriculture officer Sanjeev Rai Gupta.
Farmers from peripheral panchayats including PRI representatives participated in the camp.Resource person from the Agriculture Department gave a brief of the schemes of the departments. Over 100 soil health cards were also distributed among local farmers.
The District Industries Centre Kathua organised Awareness Camps on PMEGP/MSME schemes in the office premises. The procedure for registrations under these schemes was explained besides awareness on other employment generation schemes was also imparted to the participants present on the occasion.
One Day Training cum Awareness Camps were organised by Cooperative Department Kathua in Block Barnoti and Block Hiranagar for the potential members of cooperative societies and cooperatives.A Plantation Drive by Forest Department was held in Panchayat Chandal in Bani Range under Jan Abhiyan program, while Ayushman Bharat PMJAY Registration camp was organized by Health Department in collaboration with IT Deptt( CSC) in Kathua, Duggain and Pallan under Jan Abhiyan program.
Awareness Regarding Child & Women Related Issues, BBBP, POCSO Act, Social Welfare Schemes was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kathua by team members of CPS - Mission Vatsalya, OSC and Mahila Shakti Kendra.
The Handloom & Handicraft Department organized two Awareness Camps on the scope of departmental schemes at Ladwal & Nagrota Preta panchayats in Basohli subdivision.Jan Abhiyan Camp and distribution of Land Passbooks held at village Roulka, Bani in presence of Naib Tehsildar and PRI members where methods to avail online revenue services were explained to the participants.
Other activities include outreach programmes of different departments where schemes, programmes and other initiatives of the government were explained during gram sabhas, camps, door to door campaigns etc.
