DC Kathua reviews progress of Jal Shakti, Power sector schemes

Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of work on different Jal Shakti and Power sector schemes here at Conference Hall of DC office Complex.The CPO, XEN PDD, XEN PHE, XEN Flood Control, XEN Irrigation and other concerned officers attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the physical and financial progress of projects taken up under different schemes and directed the concerned to chalk out a plan of action for completion of the works within set timelines. He said that electricity and drinking water are the basic amenities and the issues related to these should be resolved on priority.

Taking serious note of the slow progress on some projects, the DC directed the concerned XENs to pace up the speed to complete all works in a time bound manner. He also called for removing bottlenecks to achieve maximum target works within stipulated time.

The DC further called upon the officers to personally visit the project sites and take first-hand appraisal of the development works & ensure execution of works under different schemes in a transparent and time bound manner.
