Following the instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann to provide citizen services to the people expeditiously, services are being provided to the people in Fazilka district in a fast and timely manner through 19 Sewa Kendras. The number of pending files in the Sewa Kendras is the lowest in the state and the services are provided within the time limit fixed by the government.Disclosing this here today Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal IAS said that all the departments in the district were working as per the mandate of the Punjab government to provide better citizen services to the people.

 He said that it was being ensured that there would be no inconvenience to the people in the offices and the services at the sewa kendras would be provided within the stipulated time.Deputy Commissioner further said that as per the statistics of last one year 197354 applications were received in the district for availing various services at the sewa kendras out of which only 101 applications were pending beyond the stipulated time limit which was only 0.05 percent. 

He said that with the lowest number of pending applications, Fazilka district was number one among all the 23 districts of the state.District Manager Sewa Kendra Gagandeep Singh also informed that the Seva Kendras are open from 8 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday. Apart from this the Seva Kendras are also open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 4 pm. . "people can contact their nearest Sewa kendra to avail various government services," he added.
