The Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K, Shafqat Iqbal today chaired a meeting of the officers of the Department, wherein the progress made on deliverables of the Department for the year 2022-23 was discussed threadbare. During the meeting, it was impressed upon the Officers to accomplish the desired targets in time bound manner.It was informed to the chair that the monthly targets for Registrations of Cooperatives, FPO’s has been achieved during the month and the process of further Registrations is also going on smoothly.The Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K, stressed upon the Officers to pay special attention for reviving the defunct Cooperative Societies and furnish a comprehensive revival plan for their revival in this regard.

The monthly and quarterly targets of deliverables for the year 2022-23 were deliberated one by one and targets were accordingly allocated to each Deputy Registrar. They were asked to ensure accomplishment of the same in time bound manner.In the meeting the officers were stressed upon to register new Cooperative Societies/ Cooperatives as per targets assigned and ensure field visits and convene awareness programmes in convergence with allied departments to aware the public about the schemes and programmes, so that public especially the unemployed educated youth get benefit of the schemes of the Department. 

It was stressed upon the Officers to ensure utilization/ expenditure of the funds under Capex Budget 2022-23 in a time bound manner.The meeting was attended by Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies Jammu/Kashmir, Joint Registrar (Audit/Special) Cooperative Societies Jammu/Kashmir, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, District Audit Officers & General Managers of the Super Bazars.The officers stationed at Jammu attended the meeting through virtual mode.
