Handicrafts/ Handloom Pulwama holds 1st DLSC meeting of 2022

The District Level Selection Committee (DLSC) today cleared 147 cases of Handicrafts/ Handloom sector for availing financial assistance under Credit Card Scheme (CCS) for Artisans/weavers for the FY 2022-23.The 1st meeting of the FY was held today in the Office chamber of AD Handicrafts Pulwama under the Chairmanship of General Manager, District Industries Centre Pulwama. 136 cases pertaining to Handicrafts sector against the set target of 200 and 11 cases pertaining to Handloom sector against the set target of 30 comprising both male and female artisans/weavers were approved during the meeting. 

The meeting was attended by other members of the Committee viz: Astt. Labour Commissioner Pulwama, Deputy Director Employment and Counselling Centre Pulwama, Executive Officer KVIB Pulwama, Lead District Manager, J&K Bank Pulwama and Assistant Director Handicrafts/ Handloom Pulwama.Speaking on the occasion, AD Handicrafts Pulwama, Mohammad Yaseen Bhat, awared artisans about the schemes of the deptt and instructed them regarding the proper use of funds and generation of livelihood through handicrafts/handloom.Meanwhile, the applicants were sensitized about the  benefits of the scheme.
