Ransingh Kalan / Moga , 09 May 2022

Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Mr Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal today said that the campaign launched to free the Panchayat lands from illegal occupations was getting a lot of support from the people.  After this, the encroachments on the link roads and unpaved roads of the state would also be released. He specially came today to see the development works being carried out at Ransinh Kalan, a progressive village of District Moga.

Talking to media persons on the occasion, Mr Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the drive to free the Panchayat lands from illegal occupation would not be stopped by any means. The support of the people is essential for the success of this campaign. He appealed to the squatters to vacate the Panchayat lands themselves. They will be fully accommodated.  Who will not support the government and the administration, action will be taken against them as per law.

He said that most of the lands were allegedly occupied by politicians and government officials. He said that it was a tragedy for our country that its elected representatives were not aware of their rights. That is why the Punjab Government has decided that Panchayats will be made aware of the Panchayati Raj Act.  Similarly, the representatives of progressive panchayats like village Ransinh Kalan would be tasked to make other panchayats aware of how to develop the villages.

He said that Gram Sabha would be held all over Punjab from June 1 to June 26, 2022.  In which blueprint for the development of villages will be prepared. Praising Ransinh Kalan, he said that every village in Punjab would be made a model village. He said that today Punjab needs to be made Punjab and not California.  He said that Punjab had been ruined by Akalis and Congress together.  Now the AAP government is committed to restoring the glory of all the 12560 villages of the state.

He also announced that the Punjab government would contribute to the development of the village Ransinh Kalan by developing crematorium, stadium and Verka booth and assured to make all possible efforts to set up a Mohalla Clinic in the village.  Earlier, MLA Manjit Singh Bilaspur gave details about the demands of his constituency. The Cabinet Minister also inaugurated various development works in the village.  Earlier, he was also given a guard of honour on his maiden visit to district Moga.
