Union Minister for Aviation and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri campaigned in favor of BJP candidate Sanjeev Vashisht in Phase-IX. The election rally was also attended by Haryana Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh and other BJP leaders. Sanjeev Vashisht demanded Union Minister Puri to begin international flights from Mohali airport as only one international flight is being operated till date from Mohali but there is a huge demand among residents for launching flights to North America and Europe.Union Minister Hardeep Puri while speaking at the moment promised to launch flights to international destinations including North America and Europe soon from Mohali Airport .Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Hardeep Puri said that earlier, the first international flight from Mohali to Dubai was also launched with the initiative of BJP candidate Sanjeev Vashisht only .The demand for flights to North America and Europe raised by BJP candidate Sanjeev Vashisht for public welfare would be addressed on priority basis after the elections.
According to him BJP is working for the needs of the people. If the BJP comes in power in Punjab with a double engine government then all the problems of the people of Punjab will be solved on priority basis .Union Minister Puri asserted that today Punjab needs development. A roadmap has also been prepared for this. The Union Minister said that Punjab is in debt of Rs 2.81 lakh crore. If wrong government formed again then no one will invest in Punjab. It is high time to make Punjab debt free first. The Union Government has prepared a package of Rs. 1 lakh crore. Debt waiver is being promised to farmers with less than five acres of land. At the same time the industrial infrastructure of Punjab would be developed which would increase the revenue of Punjab. Efforts will also be made to make agriculture more prosperous. It will take some time but the alliance government will get Punjab debt free.Discussing the economic and political situation of Punjab, Hardeep Puri said that Punjab was going through a difficult period. Political seriousness and serious issues have not been addressed from a long time .The Congress and other parties are only taking advantages. As a result, Punjab, the number one state in the country, is now at number 14.He asserted we have a roadmap for law and order, security of the country and the state.Our priority will be to bring a law and order to create a conducive environment for industries and bring in investments to prosper .
