BJP candidate Sanjeev Vashisht held a meeting in Balongi on Thursday even though it was raining. A large number of people met Sanjeev Vishisht and shared their problems. Residents of Balongi said that the Congress MLA did nothing for their welfare in their area .Even today they are facing same problems. Only Paver block is built worth Rs 4 crore under the Armit scheme of BJP government at the Center.Sharing his views, BJP candidate Sanjeev Vashisht said that former Health Minister Balbir Sidhu had not taken any initiative for providing health facilities to the poor of Mohali. Even today a poor person has to go to BJP run Chandigarh for treatment. He further asserted a health plan of Rs 5 lakh has also been launched by the BJP's Modi government, poor can avail this benefit by visiting the private hospitals .
Sanjeev Vashisht promised after the formation of a BJP double engine government in Punjab, they would establish health care for best treatment, Establishing an excellent school for education, and best sanitation facilities and drainage facilities in priority basis.Addressing the people, former councillor Ashok Jha said that Sanjeev is a distinguished industrialist, educated and social worker who have done a lot for the needy even before his political journey. We should choose a person with compassion who consider his duty to serve the society and develop Mohali in the best possible way. Ashok Jha accused that Congress is misleading the people that paver blocks have been built by Congress government which is not true. Many BJP leaders including Sukhwinder Goldy, Lakhwinder Kaur Garcha, singer Madan Shawk, singer Babu Chandigarhian, Lagan Singh, Chandan, Subhash also shared their views with the people.
