In view of the 2022 Punjab Assembly Elections, candidate of Sanyukt Samaj Morcha, Ravneet Brar today filed nomination papers for the upcoming elections to be held on February 20 in Mohali Assembly Constituency.Following the rules of Covid-19 Protocols imposed by the Election Commission of India, Brar along with some of his supporters filed nomination papers in the SDM office.  Speaking on the occasion, he expressed confidence that the people of Punjab are standing firmly with the farmers and SSM will play a decisive role in the upcoming assembly elections. After filing his nomination papers, Brar campaigned in the villages Kailon, Chappar chiri, Baliali, Lakhnour in the constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, "Aam Aadmi Party has fielded a candidate from the Mohali constituency, which is not even sure which party he will join after the elections."  He hoped that the people of the Mohali constituency would understand the shoddy tricks of Balbir Sidhu and Kulwant Singh and this time reject the traditional parties and give a chance to SSM. On the other hand, Brar participated in the "Vishwashghat Diwas" on 31 January called by the SSM.  Speaking on the occasion, Brar said that his fight is particularly 'corporate versus farmers.'He said, "On one hand there are big corporate houses which are pressurizing the farmers to make them slaves and on the other hand the farmers of Punjab are standing up for their rights."Brar further said, "Sanyukt Samaj Morcha would not allow any lousy tricks to succeed in ruining the farmers of Punjab under any circumstances"Brar said that the BJP and the Modi government have betrayed the farmers and the Modi government is going to take a step back on fulfilling the promises made to the farmers at the time of the end of the farmers' movement.  In such a situation, if the farmers' movement has to be started again in future, then it will not be left behind.
