In continuation to special series of events being held to mark 68th Cooperative Week, a Run for Cooperation was today organised in Poonch town.Deputy Commissioner Inder Jeet and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Basharat Hussain flagged off the Run here from Parade Ground which culminated at Super Bazar Poonch. The rally was organised by Co-operative department.Deputy Registrar Cooperative, Vishaldeep Chandan, College students including NCC cadets participated in the 1 KM run.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr.Basharat Hussain said the main objective of the Run was to create awareness about cooperatives and their functioning in line with National Tagline "Sehkar se Samriddhi".The Deputy Registrar cooperative stressed on creating linkage with other departments of the district to plug the gap in backward and forward linkages with the primary possible focus on doubling farmers income and registering as much cooperatives as possible.
