The second day of three day  long  'Water Sports Festival' under Iconic Week Festival was marked by multi disciplinary activities showcasing  Sports, Art, Culture and other amusement activities at TRC and  Purthu in Basohli, today.The opening session events of the day included   maiden kayaking and rowing competitions in the sparkling Ranjit Sagar Lake, besides Wushu, tug of War, Kabbadi, volleyball contests at Purthu, the famous tourist point of Basohli. The visitors, tourists turn up in large numbers to see the maiden event of this magnitude in Basohli.Fine Basohli Paintings, Basohli Pashmina work shawls put on display attracted huge footfall of tourists and other visitors during the Iconic festival.Participating players were also found enjoying amusement activities and also presented solo singing and dance performances.Dogri folk songs and dances were on display during the second session of the day, where famous Dogri singers Rinku Mansarwale, Romalo Ram and Party, Simmu Thakur enthralled the audience and got thunderous applause numerous times.The participating players drawn from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir expressed their joy to visit and see the beautiful Ranjit Sagar Lake WaterFront which they termed as the best spot to enjoy water sports.The event is witnessing huge footfall of locals and surrounding districts, besides tourists from neighbouring states of Punjab and Himachal.
