A Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 runwas today organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Poonch(Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India) here under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.The run was flagged of by District Development Council Member Block Lassana, Rukhsana Kohli in presence of Principal Govt Higher Secondary Lassana and the Staff, besides Mohammad Shafiq Programme Incharge Nehru Yuva Kendra Poonch; Fareed Ahmed, National Youth Volunteer; Mohd Maqsood, National youth Volunteer and Club MembersScores of youth from across the length and breadth of the district Poonch participated enthusiastically in the run amid chanting of slogans in favour of Fit India Movement and Azadi ka Amrit mahotsav.
The DDC Member stated that Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is being organized all over the Country by all the Governments, Ministries Departments and this event has been organized by Nehru yuva Kendra to celebrate 75 glorious years of Independent India.He further stated that the Prime Minister’s vision of making a new India will be successful only with the active and able participation of youth.He further said that Self sustenance and development of the youth is one of the main agenda of the present Government.The National Anthem was sung by all the Participants and Fit India Pledge was also administered to all the Youth.The rally started from Govt HSS Lassana via lower Lassana and culminated at the BDO Office. District Youth Officer Nitin Hangloo led the rally.
