DLSA Kupwara organizes awareness campaign on ‘Legal Aid Services'

District Legal Services Authority Kupwara conducted a day long awareness programme/special Drive in which various activities were carried out to sensitize people about free legal aid services, especially for weaker and Marginalized Sections of Society across the district. Apart from door to door campaign through PLVs for spreading awareness of various Schemes i.e Legal Service Schemes, Social Welfare Scheme, Labour, Agricultural and Horticulture etc,  a Van was used with loudspeaker through  far-flung areas of the District and spread awareness of the various rights provided to marginalized section of society. 

Later, various activities including panel discussion on “Access to Justice through Legal Services” was also held in the Bar Room of District Court Complex, Kupwara. The Panel consisted of which Sub-Judge/ Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kupwara Muzamil Ahmad Wani, Sub-Judge Kupwara  Rajeev Kumar Tadyal, Munsiff JMF C Kupwara Mr. Rafaqat Hussain , President Bar Association Kupwara  and Advocate Bilal Ahmad Malik. Among the attendees, Sub-Judge Kupwara Rajeev Kumar Tadyal, Munsiff JMF C Kupwara Rafaqat Hussain and all Bar Members participated in the programme and raise various Questions and queries in the interaction with the Sub-Judge/ Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kupwara Mr. Muzamil Ahmad Wani.
