The Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) observed International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, or World Drug Day, marked on 26 June, to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving the goal of a world free of drug abuse.Every year, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime issues the World Drug Report, full of key statistics and factual data obtained through official sources, a science-based approach and research along with  practical solutions to address the current world drug problem, and remains committed to attaining a vision of health for all based on science. With the objective of making Chandigarh the Child friendly city, the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights conducted a webinar “Preventing Drug use among children and adolescents” on the issue of Protection of Children from Substance abuse. While addressing the participants, Shri.
