District Development Commissioner Reasi, Ajay Kumar today convened an introductory meeting with district and sectoral officers, here today.Interacting with the officers, the DDC asked them  to improve public delivery system and work towards realizing good governance, besides maintaining people friendly work culture in their offices.  He further directed the officers to ensure punctuality   of staff in their offices which is the basic parameter to deliver public services efficiently. The officers were directed to make frequent field visits to ensure attendance in subordinate offices as well as quality of work and timely completion of the projects.The DDC stressed on the participatory development model and asked the officers to take Panchayat representatives into confidence while formulating proposals and development plans. He said this would facilitate a need based and area specific development, especially in far flung areas of the district.The field officers were also directed to spread awareness among the general masses about the schemes launched by the centre as well as UT government for socioeconomic development of farmers, women, children and weaker sections of the society.The DDC also stressed on achieving the targets s in a time bound manner and cent percent utilization of the funds.The DDC also interacted with senior citizens and listened to their grievances and demands. He assured them their grievances and demands would be redressed in a time bound manner.Among other the meeting was attended by ADC, Rajinder Kumar Sharma; District Programme Officer, Ram Kumari; ACR, Sanjay Badyal; ACD, Dr Anirudh Rai; CPO, Sunita Kanchan; Deputy DEO, Dr Zakir Wani; AD FCS & CA, Mohammad Sayeed; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Rajiv Sharma, District Treasury Officer;  Chief Education Officer; Assistant Labour Commissioner,   Executive Engineers  and other district officers.
