E-Lok adalat decides 63 cases in Poonch

First E-Lok Adalat held under supervision of J&K State Legal Services Authority, was organized today here at District Court, in which Judicial Officers, Bar Members, litigants and general public participated with full enthusiasm.At the outset, Chairman, DLSA Poonch, Madan Lal (Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge highlighted the positive aspects of E-Lok Adalat and described it as the need of the hour. He stressed upon general public to come forward to take benefit of the same.At District Court, two benches were constituted. First bench was presided by Chairman DLSA, Madan Lal (Pr. Distt & Sessions Judge) and assisted by Javed Rana Hakla, Secretary DLSA. Second Bench was presided over by Som Lal, CJM (Chairman TLSC Poonch) and assisted by Advocate Mohammad Aslam Chouhan.One each Bench was also constituted at Surankote and Mendhar.At Surankote the bench was presided by Ashan-Ul- Haq Malik(Chairman TLSC/ Sub- Judge Surankote) and assisted by   Shafiq Ahmed, Additional Mobile Magistrate. At Mendhar the bench was presided over by Raj Kumar Lalhal, Chairman TLSC (JMIC).A total   103 cases were taken up by these benches, including civil, criminal, MACT, and other cases.Out of these, 65 cases were settled through Mediation, Conciliation and compromise.Three MACT cases, 45 Criminal cases and 11civil cases were disposed of and an amount of Rs 21.93 Lkah was settled.
