Despite facing several odds during the dreaded Pandemic, Rajindra Hospital Patiala has added another feather to its cap by handling as many as 57 delivery cases  at special COVID labour ward in the recent days.Divulging details, Dr Preneet Kaur, Head of the Gynaecology Department ,said that it was a rare success story of medical science, when we succeeded to conduct deliveries of 57 pregnant COVID infected women in these testing times. When everyone has a risk of contracting of CORONAVIRUS, our brave heart doctors had , made it possible by getting delivered 28 babies through Cesarean Section while 29 through vaginal mode, she added.Doctor Preneet said, " we have COVID positive107 antenatal admissions till today and with the blessings of God and hardwork of doctors and paramedics, we succeeded to get all these patients out of the clutches of pandemic."These lucky women belong not only to Patiala, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib and Barnala districts rather Kaithal, Gurgaon, Ambala and Hamirpur districts of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh also.Sharing an interesting incident, she said that during her duty at COVID labour ward, one of our doctor, Dr. Raspinder tetsed positive preveios day. Though she is undergoing treatment at COVID ward of Rajindra Hospital with other seven Colleagues, but being Gaynae doctor she has also been helping women patients there at the time  of emergency, she added.She said that we are serving the humanity as per our conscience and dedication and we will keep it up to provide a new life to the babies who are growing in the wombs of their mothers and have the right to come in the live world safely.
