DLSA Pulwama launched Plantation drive

District Legal Service Authority in collaboration with Forest Division Pulwama today launched a week long plantation drive at New Court Complex here.The drive was inaugurated by Chairman DLSA Mohammad Ibrahim Wani in presence of Secretary DLSA, Khursheed ul Islam, Chief Judicial Magistrate Pulwama, Raja Mohmad Tasleem and Munsif Pulwama Mohammad Altaf Khan.The drive was started with the planting of conifer saplings in the premises of the court complex.On the occasion, Chairman DLSA highlighted the role of plants in maintaining greenery, beautification and eco-friendly environment besides, maintaining ecological balance and preventing hazards of dry seasons.He   said plants    not only constitute a source of financial support for the peasants but planting trees increase green cover to the district and also prevent soil erosion.He further said that it is legal and moral duty of every citizen to   play their role in conservation of forests and protection of trees.During the drive social distancing was properly maintained and masks were used by every participant and the drive shall continue til 14th of August 2020.
