District Administration Kishtwar has begun preparations for the celebration of Independence Day 2020.In this regard, District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara today chaired a meeting of officers, here.The meeting decided to organize the main function in the DC office Complex, and the departments were entrusted to make the arrangements for the same.The DDC instructed the senior Police officers and the civil administration to work in close coordination. Strict adherence to Covid-19 protocol during Independence Day celebration was stressed upon. Health Department was asked to deploy men with thermal guns at all entry points for Covid-19 screening and the first aid facility.There would be no cultural programme, except March Past by security forces, unfurling of national flag and band recital of National anthem due to COVID19 pandemic, the meeting decided further.A committee, headed by ADDC, was constituted to facilitate the felicitation of COVID warriors for recognition of their services rendered during pandemic in the district.The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Dr. Amir Hussain, Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal, AGM Dul Hasti Power Project Nirmal Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. R S Manhas, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Anoop Kumar and others.
