District Magistrate, Kathua, O.P Bhagat, today chaired a meeting of officers to take stock of arrangements for Eid-Ul-Adha in the district.The DC instructed the concerned officers to keep a strict vigil on profiteering and black-marketing of essential commodities during the festive days, besides ensuring quality of eatables.The DC directed the  FCS&CA department   to ensure distribution of ration among the people besides making sure availability of LPG, vegetables and other essential commodities in all areas of the district.Directions were also passed to PDD and Jal Shakti Department to ensure uninterrupted power and water   supply especially during the Eid days. He also directed the Municipal authorities to carry out proper fumigation, sanitation and cleanliness at all the places to prevent COVID-19 spread.The District Magistrate also appealed the public to offer Eid prayers at their homes  to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the district.He said public can contact at XEN PHE ( 94191-41553), XEN PDD( 9697514520), Tehsildar ( 94191-29449), AD Food ( 94191-40842), Fire Services ( 99060-05863) for any help in case of any difficulties pertaining to their Departments.ADC, Atul Gupta, ASP, Ramnish Gupta, CMO, Dr Ashok Choudhary, XEN PDD, XEN PHE, CEO Kathua Municipality, AD Food and other district officer were also present.
