Stepping up efforts to ensure employment for young poor girls under ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission’, a flagship programme of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the District Administration would launch a special drive to get rural girls employed in different sectors in few months.The Administration was contemplating to identify few villages on pilot basis to choose the deserving girl aspirants seeking jobs under Ghar Ghar Rozgar, which would be further replicated in district on its success.While participating in a Video Conferencing chaired by the CM’s Chief Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar to review of performance of 22 districts in lockdown under Ghar Ghar Rozgar mission, Riyait said that so far as many as 744 jobs in last 3 months had been provided to the unemployed youth besides securing placement for 8987 skill labour persons in Hoshiarpur district, while efforts are afoot to further accelerate the pace under the said Mission by organising job camps in rural and remote areas.During VC the performance of Hoshiarpur District Administration under Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission was declared first in the state for placement of Labour as well as Educated Youth, which was also appreciated by the Chief Principal Secretary.

The Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait apprised that the Administration were making all-out efforts to identify the poorest of the poor jobless rural youth in villages for employment. The eligible candidates from the villages would be shortlisted soon for their placement in different private sectors. She further informed that Administration was also chalking out a comprehensive plan to organise Block Level job camps as the rural belts were the focus area so as to take the said mission at the grassroots level.Meanwhile, the CPS Suresh Kumar also commended the unique initiative of Hoshiarpur Administration to introducing e-rickshaw programme exclusively for women, which successfully made them a empowered in real sense. The Deputy Commissioner also informed that recently under e-rickshaw program, introduced with the Corporate Social Responsibility Fund, 38 e-rickshaws worth Rs 50 lakh had been given away to make self reliant on employment front.Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur has much appreciated the efforts being put in by DBEE under the leadership of its CEO & ADC (D) Harbir Singh & also thanked the local industry for facilitating the maximum employment to the youth of the District. Others who were present in the meeting included DEGTO Karam Chand, Career Counsellor Aditya Rana and placement officer Mangesh Sood.

67 YOUNGSTERS FACILTATED PLACEMENT IN SIS SECURITY COMPANY DURING FIRST BLOCK LEVEL JOB CAMP

The Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait also informed that under Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission on Wednesday a Block level placement camp was organised in BDPO Office Mukerian, where 99 youngsters were appeared for employment, of which 67 were got placed by the SIS security company, Local MLA Indu Bala was also visited the Camp and exhorted the candidates to work with utmost dedication and professional commitment.Riyait said that the District Administration would organise nine more such camps in other blocks to secure maximum placements for rural youngsters under Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission. SIS security company’s officer Santokh Singh thanked the Administration for organising placement camp to facilitate unemployed youths. Guardians of Governance from Mukerian played a significant role in successful conduct of this Camp.
