226 km PMGSY roads connecting 225 habitations blacktopped across Doda

DDC reviews progress on road projects

District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today chaired a meeting of Executive Engineers to review the progress on roads in the district being constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).The Executive Engineers apprised the DDC of work progress on different roads in their respective sub divisions besides informed about the total length constructed so far and future work plan.The DDC sought component wise details of work progress on various roads. It was informed that  226 KM PMGSY road has been blacktopped, 333.23 km   mettalled and on 421.98 km shingling has been done, while 675.86 km forms the fairweather road across the district.It was further informed that against 11 special bridges   sanctioned for the district, 4 have been completed, while 225 habitations have been connected across the district.The DDC asked the Engineers to expedite the pace of work  of PMGSY road projects and submit the work progress of each activity on daily basis to his office.The DDC also set the daily/ weekly targets and asked to share the progress on regular basis. He also set the target of blacktopping 1km  daily for every sub division of the district.The meeting was also attended by CPO Doda, Executive Engineer PMGSY division Doda Nd Thathri, along with AEE's of the respective sub divisions.
