DDC Kishtwar chairs DMFT meeting

Asks for utilisation of 30% funds for COVID-19 prevention

District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara, today directed for utilizing 30 percent revenue of District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) for prevention of Covid 19 and on the people hit most by the pandemic.He was chairing a meeting of the DMFT members to discuss the modalities and effective implementation of the revenue collected by trust.The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katich, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Anoop Kumar, District Social Welfare officer, Tariq Parveez Qazi, DFO, Sagar Singh,  Chief Medical Officer, Dr R S Manhas, District Mineral Officer, Rajiv Jamwal (Member Secretary),Chief Agriculture Officer T K Atri , Exn R&B Kishtwar, Manjeet Singh, Exn R&B Chatroo, Mohinder kumar besides other members of the DMFT.The DDC apprised the members that as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Mines, the DMFT is authorised to spend 30% of unspent funds for overcoming the COVID-19 crisis.After threadbare discussion, it was unanimously decided that the 30% of DMFT funds shall be exclusively utilized for the purchase of COVID-19 prevention equipments like sphygmomanometer (BP apparatus) ,ECG machine and N95 masks.The DDC directed the DMO to transfer the amount to the CMO Kishtwar for making necessary purchases on immediate basis.
