“Beating Corona Virus from a century to naught is a commendable journey”, said Member Parliament Manish Tewari while felicitating Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan on steering the district towards Corona free status.During a meeting at DC office, Mr. Tewari enquired about the strategy adopted in the District to propel out of the quagmire of COVID-19. He suggested Dayalan to share the best practices with his counterparts in other districts so that the recovery rate in the State may accelerate.Member Parliament gave a sum of Rs 25 lac to the district to carry on the combat against COVID-19 and was informed that the amount would be utilized for acquiring an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance for the District.In the meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner vociferously raised the concerns of frontline warriors. He said that they are feeling overwhelmed; not only are they under enormous strain at work but also face the fear of bringing the virus home to their families. Pitching the need to ally their apprehensions, Girish Dayalan said it is necessary work out a way to boost their morale and reward their efforts for sustained performance in times of crisis.Pawan Dewan, Chairman Punjab Large industrial Development Board, Kanwarbir(Ruby) Sidhu, Mrs Ashika Jain ADC, Yashpal Sharma GA to DC were also present on the occasion.
