Deputy Commissioner, Aashika Jain today visited Kharar Mandi and took stock of the ongoing wheat procurement operations. She assured the Arhtiyas (Commission Agents) of time-bound clearance of wheat stacks.
Interestingly, Mrs Jain while interacting with farmers, no one complained of procurement delay, rather they said that the procurement is running smoothly and they have no problem in selling their crop and getting timely digital payments .
The Deputy Commissioner said that in the wake of space crunch in Kharar Mandi, the District Administration would raise the issue with the Mandi Board for setting up an additional Mandi too. She said that the District Administration would not let farmers and Arhtiyas to face any problem in Mandis. A procurement review meeting is being held regularly to resolve the local level issue, if any, she added.
She asked the Markfed District Manager to focus on Kharar Mandi till the clearance of wheat sacks by accelerating the lifting with additional transportation mechanisms. She said that sacks of procured wheat and the peak of arrival season may result in a space crunch, if not cleared immediately.
Deputy Commissioner said that the district has recorded an arrival of 81987 MT against the total expected arrival of 1.32 MT, so far. As the procurement is gaining momentum, we hope the major share will arrive at the Mandis by the next three or four days.
The district has registered a purchase of 81085 MT. Out of which, 29043 MT grain has been lifted. An amount of Rs 156.46 Crore has been paid to the farmers till the day, she added.Similarly, in Kharar Mandi, the total arrival has been recorded at 7818 MT, out of which, 7798 MT has been procured.
Till day, 4271 MT of procured wheat has been lifted.SDM Kharar Gurmandar Singh and representatives of procurement agencies besides Arhtiyas and Farmers were also present on this occasion.

ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਖਰੜ ਮੰਡੀ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਕਣਕ ਦੇ ਖਰੀਦ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆੜ੍ਹਤੀਆਂ (ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਏਜੰਟ) ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕੀ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਂਬੱਧ ਚੁਕਾਈ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਜੈਨ ਦੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਚ ਦੇਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਖਰੀਦ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਫਸਲ ਵੇਚਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਅਦਾਇਗੀ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਰਹੀ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਖਰੜ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿੱਲਤ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੰਡੀ ਬੋਰਡ ਕੋਲ ਵੀ ਮੰਡੀ ਦਾ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਉਠਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆੜ੍ਹਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ, ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਹੈ, ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਿਯਮਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਖਰੀਦ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਰਕਫੈੱਡ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਧੂ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਵਿਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਮੰਡੀ ਚ ਪਿਆ ਵਿਕਿਆ ਮਾਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੱਕ ਇੱਥੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਨਾ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਖਰੀਦੀ ਕਣਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੋਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਮਦ ਦੇ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਿਖਰ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਮਿੱਥੇ ਟੀਚੇ 1.32 ਲੱਖ ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 81987 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਦੀ ਆਮਦ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਖਰੀਦ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਫੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਗਲੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਜਾਂ ਚਾਰ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮਿੱਥੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ 81085 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 29043 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ 156.46 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਇਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਰੜ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ ਆਮਦ 7818 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 7798 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ 4271 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ ਖਰੜ ਗੁਰਮੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਖਰੀਦ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਆੜ੍ਹਤੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
