The Additional Deputy Commissioner(ADC) Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, today conducted surprise inspection of District Control Room for COVID-19, established at DC Office Complex, Kupwara.During the inspection, the ADC was briefed by the Nodal Officer , Control Room about its functioning and was informed that till date Control Room has received 2122 calls and report of received calls on daily basis is being forwarded to concerned quarters for further action.While appreciating the officials for maintaining updated record regarding COVID-19 the ADC urged for coordination among the officials of control room, surveillance teams and nominated Administrators for quick action to the calls received, on daily basis.While briefing media, ADC said that the District Administration is fully prepared to contain the spread of dreadful COVID-19 disease. He said the administration has established an additional control room at social welfare office to facilitate specially-abled persons of the district. He added that all sufficient stock of essential commodities is available in the district and people need not to panic. He added that people should follow the directions and guidelines of the government and should stay indoors.The ADC said the department of Food and Civil Supplies has distributed rice and other essentials for the month of April among the consumers of the district and that the administration is working on forefront and has delivered the medicine of Rs.5 lac to the patients of the district at their door steps.
