The District Administration Kupwara today organized weekly Block Diwas events at Nagri Wari in Kupwara block and Ringpath in Qaziabad block. The main function was held at Nagri in block Kupwara which was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan.
DDC Member Natnussa, Zahoor Ahmad, BDC Chairperson, CEO Kupwara, AD Fisheries, AD Planning, LDM Kupwara, Executive Engineer PDD, AD Food, Tehsildar, BDO, Representatives from line departments, besides, PRIs and people in large number attended the block diwas function.
Addressing the function, the ADDC said that the District Administration is committed to address all developmental issues of the people relating to power, water, health, education and road connectivity. He said that the doors of district administration are always open for the people to hear their developmental issues.
Regarding employment generation, the ADDC urged upon the unemployed educated youth to take benefit under PMEGP and other schemes for establishing their self income generating units. Earlier, DDC Members and PRIs spoke and raised the issues of the area.
The ADDC heard their issues and directed the officers to ensure that all genuine issues of the people are resolved in a time bound manner. Meanwhile, officers and representatives from line departments gave thorough awareness to the people regarding schemes of their respective departments.
Block diwas was also held at Ringpath in block Qaziabad which was chaired by BDC Chairperson Qaziabad, Bashir Ahmad Mir. Tehsildar, BDO, officers/representatives from line departments, besides, PRIs and people attended the block diwas event.
