VC DDC Kupwara chairs joint Awareness/ Enrolment drive at Potushai Lolab

The District Administration Kupwara today organized a joint awareness cum enrolment drive in respect of various central/UT schemes at Potushai Lolab, here. The camp was chaired by Vice Chairman DDC Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir.

BDC Chairperson Wavoora, Rafiq Kataria, BMO Sogam, ZEO, BDO, Block Manager NRLM, functionaries from Health, Education, CSC, Labour and Employment department, besides, PRIs and a large number of youth participated in the camp.

Addressing the function, the VC said that the aim of holding joint awareness cum enrolment drive is to encourage the unemployed educated youth to stand on their feet by setting up their own income generating units under different self employment generation schemes of the Government including PMEGP and Mission youth.

He appealed the unemployed youth to come forward and take advantage of the opportunity by getting financial assistance under these schemes so as to earn their livelihood. The VC expressed gratitude towards all the departments for making the awareness/enrolment camp successful.

 Meanwhile, officers/ functionaries from different departments provided threadbare awareness to the participants regarding their initiative and schemes including e-Shram (PMSYM), PMJAY, PMEGP, PMDISHA, Umang, Aadhaar and Tele-law.

On the occasion, enrollment of a large number of youth were made under these schemes. Later, the Vice Chairman distributed various certificates among the beneficiaries including Aadhaar Cards, PM Golden Cards, e-Shram cards and other benefits.
