In order to encourage professional photography in district and highlight the rich biodiversity of Bathinda, the district administration has extended date of sending entries to August 10, 2018. The photos of winners of this photography competition will be displayed at an exhibition and will also be published in an information book based on the district.Giving this information here today the Additional Deputy Commissioner (D)-cum-chairperson District Biodiversity Management Committee Sakshi Sawhney stated that district administration and biodiversity management committee is holding this event. It will highlight the biodiversity of district including its rich flora and fauna.ill Aug 10 the photographers can send their entries with complete details to the e mail id [email protected] participants will have to end their entries in 300 dpi resolution or more than that. Only one entry per person is allowed, the photographer will be responsible for copyright issues of his or her photo, every participant should mention name, complete address and mobile phone number. The name of place, where photo has been taken, should also be duly mentioned in description. There is no entry fee for participation and no age limit for the participant. Anyone from Bathinda, who is interested in photography, or any professional photographer can participate in this contest. People working with media organizations or agencies are not allowed to send any entries or participate.For additional information one can contact Mr Narinder Kumar, technical member of the board at his number 98152-34567. The winner of first place will be awarded Rs 5000 cash prize, second position holder will be given Rs 4000 and third place holder will be given Rs 3000 cash prize. She added that if the judges find any of the photos very interesting, those entries will also be given appreciation certificate.
