2011 batch IAS, B. Srinivasan joins as DC Bathinda

Preside over series of meetings during first interaction with officers

2011 batch IAS officer B. Srinivasan today took over the charge as Deputy Commissioner of Bathinda. He was given a guard of honour by a police contingent in the district administrative complex after which he presided over a series of meetings with all the senior administrative officials including ADC (G), SDMs and senior police officers.The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner while taking stock of all the important upcoming events--Mela Maisarkhana and Baisakhi Mela at Talwandi Sabo directed the SDMs of both the places to keep him informed about all activities and arrangements done in their respective areas prior to the Melas. He asked the officers to seek maximum public cooperation while carrying out preparedness for these fests.

The DC also discussed security arrangements with SSP Dr. Nanak Singh in view of the religious functions where hundreds of people are expected to gather at both the places in district. The SSP also briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the police arrangements done so far for both the Melas'.Officials from the Election Tehsildar office also gave a detailed description about the ongoing groundwork ahead of the General Elections in Bathinda constituency.Among others who also took part in the meeting were ADC (G) Sukhpreet Sidhu, Assistant Commissioner of Bathinda Development Authority Vikram Shergill, SDM Bathinda Amrinder Tiwana, SDM Talwandi Sabo Babandeep Walia, SDM Rampura Khushdil Singh and SDM Maur Rajpal Singh.
