Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli has said that the government is working to ensure equitable socio-economic development across all regions of the State.The Minister said this while addressing a grievances redress camp at Dalogra village in Kalakote Constituency of Rajouri district today.Underscoring the importance of balanced and parallel development across regions, the Minister said that it is essential to consciously work in this direction for sustainable development besides to ensure unity and integrity of the State. He said that the present government has consciously ensured proportional allocation of resources for equitable development of all regions.Enumerating development initiatives taken by the present government for twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, Kohli said the projects like Medical College, tunnel on Mughal Road, Shakarmarg Tourism Project, Budhal-Shopian Road etc will act as the catalyst to bring about a positive change in socio-economic fate of the dwellers.

Referring to the developmental works under execution in Kalakote Constituency, the Minister said that the construction work on various mini and micro projects under different sectors including road connectivity, water and power supply, education are apace in the constituency. He urged the people to make use of various schemes being implemented in the area and take maximum benefit out of it.Responding to the demands put forth by the locals, the Minister assured the people that their concerns will be taken up with the concerned quarters at an earliest.Kohli further said that the government has launched a massive campaign for conservation of water resources in the area and the authorities of Public Health Engineering Department have been directed to put in place necessary measures so that people of the area do not face shortage of drinking water during the coming months.Senior officers of district administration Rajouri were also present on the occasion.
