Vijayawada (A.P) , 22 Jan 2018

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Sr. Advocate of Supreme Court of India, who is also Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee while addressing members of Bar Association at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh this afternoon made a strong appeal to the lawyers fraternity in the country to support the movement to extend the scope of Fundamental Rights to the citizens of India in J&K which have remained denied to the people of J&K since 1950 when Constitution of India was promulgated in the country. J&K was denied of Fundamental Rights because Constitution of India was not extended to J&K. The lawyers meeting was presided by the President of the Bar Association, Shri Sumo Krishnamurthy who introduced Prof.Bhim Singh to hundreds of lawyers saying that there is an advocate from the Himalayan State of J&K who travelled around the world on motorcycle for five years and studied in London University passing all legal exams with distinction.Prof.Bhim Singh in his brief address invited the questions of the lawyers community vis-à-vis State of J&K which, Prof.Bhim Singh said, has not been annexed till date by the Parliament of India in spite of the fact that the ruler of J&K, Maharaja Hari Singh had signed the similar Instrument of Accession on 26th October, 1947 acceding the State of J&K to the Union of India.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that Constituent Assembly had committed a blunder but there is no time to discuss those issues because J&K has to be integrated with the rest of the country by amending or deleting Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which is stands like a wall between the people of J&K and the rest of the country.Prof.Bhim Singh calls on lawyers’ fraternity, because, they understand the implications and complications of Article 370 which has barred the entry of Fundamental Rights to J&K from Delhi. He blamed the Parliament of India for this crises which is being faced by the people of the whole country.Answering several questions of the lawyers’ fraternity, Prof.Bhim Singh told them that 575 States were integrated to the Union of India whereas J&K whose ruler signed similar Instrument of Accession was kept out of the integration by the arrogance of the Indian leadership at that time. Prof.Bhim Singh also answered that Parliament has no authority to amend Article 35 of the Indian Constitution which was amended by the President of India in May 1954 adding 35(A) which is unconstitutional, foreign to the Chapter of the Indian Constitution and could not have been entertained.

Prof.Bhim Singh also answered that the solution lies is that the President can amend any provision in Article 370 because the Constituent Assembly of J&K has been buried in the graveyard of history in 1957 when Constitution of J&K was approved and applied to J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh also said in his answer that the people of India should vote those candidates for the next Lok Sabha who shall swear that they shall pass appropriate law amending or deleting Article 370 in order to facilitate the Parliament of India to make any appropriate law particularly in relation to Defence, Foreign Affairs, Communications and Allied Matters in the interest of National Integration, communal harmony so that there shall be one India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari with one Flag, one Constitution and Fundamental Rights for all in the country.Prof.Bhim Singh felicitated with dozen of shawls, flower bouquets and greetings by lawyers’ fraternity though he was not blessed in lawyers black robes in the Central Hall of the Bar Association of Andhra Pradesh. Prof.Bhim Singh has been invited for the Bar Association of High Court in Hyderabad tomorrow in the afternoon. Prof.Bhim Singh accompanied Rajiv Jolly Khosla, President Panthers left from Vijayawada by train for Hyderabad this evening.
