Zonal presidents of District Srinagar held a meeting at party Head Quarters was presided over by the District President and MLC Khurshid Aalam. Party General Secretary Nizamudin Bhat participated in the meeting.Zone presidents from all zones of the District unanimously reiterated the pledge to carry out a relentless struggle to achive the party’s mission spearheaded and envisioned by departed leader Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.District President Aalam spelled out the broad contours of the Mufti’s dream shared by the innumerable wokers from the state and said the departed leader changed the political discourse in thestate and created a space for everyone to contribute and thrive in the democratic process with dignity.Aalam said PDP resolves to strengthen the process of inclusiveness in politics for earning the pleasure of peace, development and cultural pride. He said youth and women always occupied prime place in PDP’s agenda as stake-holders in social upliftment and political and economic empowered. 

He called upon these two sections to make passionate assessment of Mufti’s constituency and long struggle in this direction. His whirlwind tour of Srinagar offered glaring example of his concern for people’s problems before his departure for heavenly abode.Aalam and Zone Presidents took pride in Mufti’s political legacy and said this legacy in interior of his struggle and exceeded confidence that people of the state can always rely on PDP as a people friendly political substitute “Bound to make history”.Nizamudin Bhat Party general Secretary on this occasion assured the office bearer’s from Srinagar that party will stand by the state’s people in tune with party’s tradition.

He said party president Mehbooba Mufti has well shouldered the responsibility to carry forward and accomplish the agenda of peace, reconciliation economic development, which alone can provide conducive space for resolution of all impending problems.MLA Batmaloo, Noor Mohd and senior party leaders Ab Hameed Kosheen and Dr Ali Mohd, Mudasir Amin Khan, who were party of the meeting, said Srinagar as epicenter of political economic and cultural hub occupied always a prime place in Mufti’s political career. They recalled how he wanted Srinagar to review its cultural grandeur and appreciated his contribution for the city’s face lift which is an obvious example of good work.Zone president of Hazrathbal, Zadibal, Amirakadal, Sonwar, Habbakadal, Khanyar, Batmaloo and Eidgah also participated.
