Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday launched a scathing attack against the Congress and other political parties in Jammu and Kashmir over playing dubious role in Kuthua murder case and hoodwinking masses at large .The PDP’s Srinagar district President and Upper House Member, Mohammad Khurshid Alam in a statement said that the dubious role being played by the Congress over the Kutua case is condemnable and the party once again has proved beyond doubt that it is carrying on with its legacy of running with the hare and hunting with the hound.Alam said that at a time when in open several leaders of the Congress party in Jammu defended the people who committed the heinous crime, party’s leadership in New Delhi continues to project itself as peoples’ savior. “The fact has been revealed to one and all that the Congress party has left all moral ground to claim its representative character as it has maintained a stoic silence about its leaders taking part in the pro-rape and murder rallies,” Alam said, adding that even the party chief on record tried every bit to come in rescue of the main culprits of the case.“The party chief has on record defended those who committed the heinous crime against an eight- year old little girl in Kuthua. If the central leadership of the Congress has a bit of morality left, it must crap whip against the persons in question,” Alam said.

The PDP district president added that there are even those leaders of the Congress party in Kashmir Valley who are maintaining a stoic silence over the shameful episode of Kuthua and didn’t even muster courage to ask the party leaders to stop defending the indefensible. “Earlier, these leaders were heard crying for the peoples’ wellbeing and then were seen changing sides. Present time was the litmus test for them in which they all in unison failed miserably,” Alam said.He added that the invincible courage and determination of the chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has been dawned upon every single person across the country and it is she who is standing on the ground firmly to give exemplary punishment to the persons involved in the gory Kuthua incident.Alam further asked the Congress to stop playing the politics of deceit and deception as the people all across have now become aware about its policies and trickery measures.
