Like other parts of the World and country International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in District Police Line Ground Doda today. The Mega Yoga session was organized by the Assistant District Medical Officer ISM (Ayush) Doda in collaboration with Bharat Swabhiman Patanjali Yog Samiti Niyas Doda and was inaugurated by MLA Doda Mr. Shakti Raj .
Deputy Commissioner Doda Mr. Bhupinder Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Doda Mr. Z.N Manhas, besides other officers and a huge gathering of people and school children participated in the Yoga Session and practiced Yoga.While inaugurating the International Yoga Day, MLA Doda Mr. Shaki Raj said that Yoga helps in physical as well as mental development. He said Yoga is not related to any religion as it is a way of living self less life with a healthy mind and soul. During the Yoga session, Mr. Anil Chandail Yoga Instructor guided the gathering and practiced different physical postures of the Yoga.Similar programmes were also conducted in Bhaderwah, Thathri and Gandoh and other parts of the District. The Day is being celebrated in more than 251 Cities and 192 countries across the world.
